grace welcomes you

Grace Lutheran Church, Colfax, is nestled in the eastern outskirts of Lancaster, Ohio.  We are a congregation of the Southern Ohio Synod of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America.

Our church family has been around for 125 years of ministry and actively continues to serve the community in simple but effective ways, such as through the local food pantry, youth and children's programs, our partnerships with other ministries in the area.

Both town and country are represented whenever we gather.  These connections help guide our work as stewards of earth and all our relationships.

125th Anniversary Year

We give thanks to God that we have been called to be a continuing witness in this time and place in our community.  We have special celebration events planned in September and October.  September 8th, we welcome Pr. Randy O'Donell, who will preach and join us for a day of remembering.  October 13, our Bishop, The Rev. Suzanne Dillahunt, will visit to preach and preside at God's Table of Grace.  October 20, Pr. Aaron Layne will return to preach in the morning.  Our Fall Family Festival on the evening of October 20th, featuring a bon fire, hot dog roast, and hay ride, will cap off our Anniversary Observance.  Stay tuned as details are available to be shared with the community.

Our Mission Statement

To be and make disciples of Christ by sharing

God's grace and serving God's kingdom.

We would love to have you become part of our ministry in Fairfield County.  Membership is not required to work side by side with us, but it is open to any who choose to join us.

We value families of any shape, size, or configuration, and work to connect people of all ages with one another. We are a small country church with a global heart for hunger and health issues and a playful spirit that thrives upon the grace of God.
